Hot Springs weekend 2011

Once again, classmates from the 1979 and 1980 classes got together for a weekend of fun in Hot Springs. It is the 2nd time we have done this since our 30 year reunion. To top it off, the Clarksville Panther senior boys basketball team won the class 4A state title in Hot Springs while we were there! so we had a chance to see a lot of other folks from the hometown as well. There was dinner and dancing, Oaklawn, and just sitting around visiting.

At every reunion or funeral, we always say that we should get together more often, these weekend trips to Hot Springs are our attempt to do that. It is our hope to make it an annual event!

Steve Rinke, class of 79, 1961-2011

Steve Rinke, we will always remember the loyal classmate who had a one liner for every conversation and used those "siren" noises to throw us off. The image of him shooting basketball at all times of the day and night at his house off Rogers, involved in basketball, golf and tennis. The voice of the Clarksville Panthers for over 20 years, even being involved in the broadcasts in our senior year of high school. The Rodney Dangerfield and Bill Clinton imitations were a part of his make up as well as his broadcasting career. A funny and unique classmate, never, never to forget thee ...

Deanna Bright Horner - CHS class of 79, 1961-2011

Losing a classmate, someone we all remember growing up, is hard, especially under tragic circumstances. Remembering them, the way we remember them, is our honor and responsability.

Deanna Bright was one of those classmates that everyone loved. She did not play sports, was not a cheerleader, but everyone seemed to like her. Always a smile that was unforgettable. Always a laugh as she involved her self with every gathering of classmates. Attractive inside and out, pleasant to be with.

We remember her in her overalls, Piggly Wiggly uniform, DECCA, basketball and volleyball manager and almost every fun moment we experienced in high school.

Successful in her career, loved by her community and proud mother.

Rest in Peace Deanna Bright Horner, CHS class of 79. Never, never to forget thee.
